BENEFITS of PRP with HA Injections

  • Elasticity: This is the best treatment to restore elasticity as it accelerates the production of collagen, an essential protein found in skin that provides support and structure to your skin.

  • Reduction of fine lines and wrinkles: Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP) has powerful healing properties and regenerates skin tissue to restore volume and reduce skin laxity. It also boosts collagen production.

  • Hydration: Hyaluronic Acid (HA) delivers an immediate hydrating boost, leaving skin firm, plump and radiant while also ensuring sustained hydration of skin cells in the long term.

  • Skin texture and tone: PRP with HA is suitable for all skin types (even the most sensitive) and refines skin texture to create a more even-toned complexion

  • Combined Benefits: PRP, together with HA, is an excellent option to rejuvenate your skin from the inside out with proven long-term results!

The regenerative abilities of PRP paired with the hydrating effect of HA restore elasticity, accelerate skin repair and achieve a vibrant, youthful look

At The Otto Clinic we have specialised in Platelet-rich Plasma Therapy (PRP), also known as the Vampire Facelift, for skin rejuvenation and hair loss since 2006.  PRP is a highly effective treatment that stimulates the body's healing response and generates collagen. As the name suggests, PRP consists of two key components: platelets and plasma. Platelets provide essential growth factors that repair damaged tissue, while plasma contains a mix of nutrients, vitamins, hormones, growth factors, and proteins that are vital for new tissue generation.  Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy is a proven skin rejuvenation treatment that achieves visible, long-lasting results.

What Is PRP combined with HA?

What is Hyaluronic Acid?

Hyaluronic acid is one of nature's amazing ingredients! It is the main ingredient in most dermal fillers on the market today and is considered to be an extremely safe filler.  It also occurs naturally in our skin and is known for its unique ability to hold moisture. Acting like a sponge, it attracts and retains water molecules to create instant volume and lift, plumping up skin and smoothing lines and wrinkles. This leads to improved contouring and reduction of deep lines while skin is hydrated and moisturised.

Why are PRP and HA so successful when combined?

The combination of PRP and HA boosts their individual benefits to offer a highly effective anti-ageing treatment. In the short term, HA immediately volumises and moisturises skin, while PRP heals damaged cells and triggers the growth of new skin cells over a period of 3-6 months. The new tissue growth surrounds the hyaluronic acid so that the volume effect created by the HA lasts for longer, and equally, skin cells remain hydrated for longer.  Furthermore, hyaluronic acid improves the activity of several molecules contained in platelet-rich plasma to intensify the regenerative action of PRP. The treatment addresses a host of issues - patients can expect visible improvements in skin texture, dryness, sagging, loss of contour, fine lines, wrinkles and overall appearance.  In short, this treatment is an investment in future-proofing your skin as it slows the ageing process.

How Do PRP with HA Injections Work?

The Technique:

Step 1: Patient's blood is collected and spun through a centrifuge to separate the platelets and plasma from the red blood cells.

Step 2: Hyaluronic Acid is added to the platelet/plasma formulation.

Step 3: PRP with HA is injected into the specific points on the patients' face - injection points will be decided at the initial consultation depending on the skin issues presented.
