Profhilo lifts, tightens, hydrates and plumps skin....from the inside out!
Profhilo, dubbed the "injectable moisturiser", is a pure hyaluronic acid injectable. This superb anti-ageing treatment is clinically proven to tackle a range of ageing symptoms. Specifically formulated to treat loss of volume and skin laxity (sagging), studies show that Profhilo
-
Increases skin hydration by 20%
-
Lasts 8 times longer in skin than regular non cross-linked hyaluronic acid
-
Results in 12 times more collagen and elastin levels in skin tissue
This ultra-pure hyaluronic acid works at a cellular level to boost, hydrate and remodel sagging skin from the inside out. The result? A radiant, youthful glow that transforms skin over time - collagen and elastin (the basic building blocks of youthful skin) production is stimulated while skin tissue is hydrated, nourished and renewed from within.
What Is Profhilo?
Why Does Profhilo Work?
Profhilo's excellent anti-ageing abilities stem from the fact that it is a pure hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in our bodies and is a powerful moisturising agent. It is hydrophilic which means it can attract 1000 times its own weight in water into the skin, thus hydrating skin from within. Unfortunately, as we age, this process slows down and becomes less efficient. Coupled with decreasing levels of collagen and elastin, our skin ages and dehydrates leading to the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sagging, tired and dull complexions. Gone is the glow of youth!
Profhilo works because it is pure hyaluronic acid and its water-like consistency is administered in a series of small injections to maximise diffusion and minimise the risk of bruising. As a result, Profhilo lasts much longer under the skin and hydrates more deeply than traditional hyaluronic acid injectables. In short, Profhilo enhances the skin’s natural healing abilities.
How Does Profhilo Work?
Profhilo is injected into 5 key points on each side of the face. Unlike fillers, Profhilo's liquid consistency allows the gel to flow smoothly through the layers of skin to achieve a uniformly smoother, glowing result. The bio-remodelling process works in the skin at 3 levels:
-
it acts as a natural reservoir of hydration spreading out uniformly to create a moisturising sheet of hydration under the skin
-
it stimulates the body's own cells to produce collagen and elastin to reverse signs of ageing at a deeper, cellular level
-
both of these actions lead to dramatic improvements in skin texture, quality and luminosity
Profhilo stays in the skin for approximately 28 days during which time it stimulates the production of 4 different types of collagen and elastin. A follow-up treatment is administered at 28 days - once the course is complete, maintenance treatments are recommended annually (depending on your skin condition) to prolong the benefits and maintain preventative action.
Profhilo is a game-changer in the non-invasive injectable arena because it doesn't just tackle wrinkles, it also results in significant tissue improvement - improved skin tone, texture and elasticity - lasting for at least 6 months. Moreover, maintenance treatments have a cumulative effect on skin quality and offer a superb preventative approach to loss of volume and elasticity in the long term. Profhilo is also an excellent treatment to use in areas where fillers are difficult to administer such as the neck, back of hands and arms.

What You Need to Know
-
How Does PRP Work?Once the consultation and patient case study phase is concluded, a small amount of blood is taken and passed through a centrifuge system to separate the platelets and fibrin from the red blood cells – this concentrate, known as the matrix, is then injected into the areas to be treated. Note the plasma remains alive in the treated area for approximately 7 days but the activity of the stem cells in the plasma continues working for about 3 months.
-
Is PRP Therapy Safe?Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy is the safest non-invasive procedure available in the market today because you are using cells from your own body therefore there can be no allergic reaction: • It’s the only treatment of this type that can be injected into the tear trough of the eye without fear of any adverse effects • No surgery/no anaesthetic • Completely safe and natural – no synthetic substances/no danger of allergic reactions or infections • Walk-in Walk-out procedure – minimal disruption to your life Above all, the treatment is virtually painless and patients can look forward to a fast recovery.
-
Where Can PRP Be Used?Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy can be used on the face, neck, hands and all over the body with excellent results: skin is re-plumped and rejuvenated; fine lines and wrinkles are reduced; skin contours are redefined to create a youthful, radiant bloom; skin is stimulated by the growth factors in the plasma to repair and rejuvenate itself. It is hugely successful in the treatment of areas such as: crow’s feet “crepey” eyelids acne scarring/scars in general wrinkles/fine lines around nose, lips, mouth sagging skin in the neck area stretch marks burned skin
-
What Does PRP Feel Like?Prior to treatment, the patient’s skin is numbed with a topical anaesthetic and plasma is then injected into the Upper Dermis – the patient may experience a sensation of tiny pin pricks but feedback from clients indicates that this sensation is not at all uncomfortable.
-
What After-Care Is Needed?Patient will experience slight swelling but this will usually disappear in 24 hours. In cases where patients are prone to bruising easily, slight bruising may be evident, but as with any other filler, this is easily covered with make-up.
-
How Long Will The Effects Of PRP Last?In cases where skin is not deeply wrinkled/badly scarred or burned, follow-up treatments are recommended on an annual basis. In the case of damaged or quite wrinkled skin, a follow-up treatment is advised for 3 months later and thereafter on an annual basis.
-
Who Is Not Suitable For PRP?Because you are using cells from your own body, there can be no allergic reaction, therefore PRP is suitable for most people however if you have any concerns or specific medical conditions, we will advise you during the pre-treatment consultation whether the procedure is safe for you or not. Following consultation, the patient is advised on dietary changes required to aid the process e.g. increase intake of Vitamin C and water, and avoidance of stimulants such as coffee, alcohol and cigarettes. Patients will experience much more effective and satisfactory results if they follow these guidelines.
-
Are There Any Side Effects? No unnatural substances are used, therefore there is no danger of adverse/allergic reactions because you are using your own cells.
